Harold was a well know personality in the sporting world, particulary in the realm of motor sport , highly successful on the race track driving his MG Midget , Ford Capri & Ford Escort, he represented Northern Ireland in the Ken Wharton Memorial Auto Tests and a member of the winning team 8 times, he competed in the Circuit of Ireland & Scottish International Rallies. On retirement from motor sport, took up golf, becoming a member of Killymoon Golf Club where he was held in high esteem. He was a founder member of Coagh United Football Club and was the instigation of purchase and completing a new cross community pitch for young players. He looked forward to his skiing trips with his friends, where he was always out in front. Harold never lost his competitive instinct, he gave 101% to all his activities, a true gentleman in all respects.
